2014 and The Kane Chronicles

Wow. Tomorrow will be 2014. That's very strange. I'm reading the Kane Chronicles right now. Rick Riordan is amazing. Now I have another series to add to my favourites list. Sadie Kane is awesome. And she's British!!! She is such a funny narrator.

Best YA Books of 2013

I found a  "Best YA Books of 2013" List. Click here to see it.

I've only read four of the books on that list. Allegiant, Clockwork Princess, Scarlet and The Elite. However, I am planning on reading Eleanor and Park, The 5th Wave and Fangirl pretty soon. I like seeing other people's opinions of the best books published in a certain year. Then I can see how many I've read, and if I've read and liked a lot of them, it indicates that I might like some of the others on the list.

Merry Christmas and stuff. This post technically has no point. Which is very sad. To make it worth writing, I am going to talk about Harry Potter/ Hunger Games crossovers, Specifically one that I found yesterday called "The Potter Games". It's a cool "Choose the next part of the story" adventure where the Harry potter characters play in The Hunger Games. Choose your tribute and try not to die. Also, try not to cry because it's actually quite sad. I played as Luna and I watched harry die. Anyway, here's the link: thepottergames.com

The Desolation of Smaug

I saw the Desolation of Smaug on Monday. I can't believe how awesome it was. My favourite parts were Bilbo and the dragon and those awesome scenes with Bard's children. I think Tauriel is a great addition. I don't know why so many people don't seem to like her. I ship her with Kili. I wish Legolas would just go away. Kili is going to die of course.

But the scene where Legolas got blood on his face was hilarious. And I'm really confused about what happened in Dol Guldor. How will Gandalf escape? I can't believe that after waiting a whole year for The Desolation of Smaug, I have to wait one more year for the last movie. IT'S NOT FAIR!!!
Oh, one more thing about this movie. Thranduil was a lot more like the book than I thought he would be. I kind of liked him better in the trailers than in the actually movie. He's kind of annoying. I've decided that I like Elrond better. And Galadriel. Those are my two favourite elves. Actually, I think I'll include Tauriel in that. She's cool.

Cinder

I just finished reading a book called Cinder and it's sequel, Scarlet. Cinder is a science fiction version of Cinderella, and Scarlet is a science fiction version of Little Red Riding Hood. The third book in the series, Cress, is coming out in February 2014. I'd like to recommend this series because it's super awesome and Cinder is the coolest cyborg ever.
